The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Slant front desk by an unknown artist is a wooden piece of furniture with a slanted top that can be opened. The desk is made of dark wood and features a classic design with a flat top that slopes downward at an angle. The top has a small brass handle in the center and small hinges on the sides. The front of the desk has two columns of drawers, three on the bottom and one on top. The top drawer in each column has a carved shell-like design above it. Each drawer has a brass handle in the center, with decorative details on either side of the drawers. The bottom of the desk has a curved base with four legs, two on each side. The background of the image is a gradient gray color.
