Gorget of an Officer of the King's American Regiment
Metal gorget, semi-circular shape, two holes at top for attachment, engraved with a crown, surrounded by ornate designs and text. A circular emblem features a large "G" or "C". Ornamental designs on either side resemble foliage. Text on the emblem reads "REG: FIDEI DEFEN:". Text at bottom reads "THE KING'S AMERICAN REGIMENT". The gorget appears to be made of metal with a darkened patina.
