Burgonet after Filippo Negroli
Burgonet after Filippo Negroli, a silver-colored metal helmet with a long, pointed faceplate that curves downward. The faceplate features a decorative border resembling twisted rope. A figure of a nude man wrestling with a sea creature, possibly a merman or sea lion, is depicted on the faceplate. A decorative crest adorns the top of the helmet, with a raised pattern resembling feathers or leaves. A stylized curl or spiral shape protrudes from the right side of the helmet. Small brass rivets secure the various parts of the helmet. The background is a plain gray color.
