Three-Quarter Armor

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Three-quarter armor by Hans Stopler, made of dark brown metal, possibly steel, with a helmet featuring a visor and a flared brim. The armor consists of a breastplate and backplate covered with overlapping horizontal strips, secured by rivets. The shoulder pieces are composed of overlapping plates, while the arm guards have articulated sections. The gauntlets are segmented, allowing for flexibility. The greaves are also made of overlapping plates, providing protection for the legs. The armor stands on a metal pole.
