Burgonet of the Guard of Pope Julius III
Burgonet of the Guard of Pope Julius III. The helmet is dark-colored with gold-colored designs. It has a distinctive curved shape, with a projection on top. The helmet is decorated with gold-colored etchings. There are several circular designs with etchings in them on the surface. There are also plants and leaves etched into the surface. A figure wearing a helmet and armor is etched in one of the circular designs. Other etchings include a lion-like creature. The etchings give a sense of movement. There appears to be a projection on either side near the opening for the face.
