

Back Plate of a Gorget
Metal plate with a wide, curved shape, tapering to a narrow top. The plate features a central circular design, depicting a man on horseback holding a sword and shield. The man wears a helmet and armor. His horse has a long tail. A border of small metal balls lines the edge of the plate. Two additional scenes are etched on either side, one shows a person in armor, and the other a figure with long hair. The plate is made of dark metal, possibly steel or iron, with visible signs of wear and aging. The plate, titled "Back Plate of a Gorget", is by an unknown artist.
