Halberd

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The weapon is a silver-colored halberd. The long, thin blade is straight and tapers to a point at the top. The blade is attached to a metal piece with a long vertical plate and two protruding wings on either side. The left wing has a concave curved shape resembling a hook or beak. The right wing is straight. Both wings have multiple points and are uneven. The metal shows signs of wear and has small holes and rivets. The bottom of the metal piece is attached to a short brown wooden handle. The background is a solid light gray color. Halberd by unknown artist.
