Boar Spear

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Boar Spear by Albrecht Dürer depicts a white spearhead with a slight narrowing at the base and a more pronounced tapering towards the tip. The spearhead features a central ridge running along its length and a small circular mark near the base. A dark brown or black handle with a wrapped design is visible at the bottom. A short, cylindrical protrusion extends from the side of the handle, near the bottom. The background is a plain light gray color.
