Surcoat (<i>Jinbaori</i>)

This surcoat, also known as a Jinbaori, is a sleeveless, open-front garment. The main body of the garment is primarily white with a patterned brown trim. The trim on the sides appears to depict a black and white image of an animal, possibly a horse. The inner lining is a patterned fabric with a repeating design in shades of blue and gold. The garment features a high collar. The front fastens with a belt. The shoulders are adorned with small blue decorations. The top edge has a patterned trim. The background of the image is gray.
