Waistcoat

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

White satin waistcoat by unknown artist. The waistcoat has a high collar and armholes that cut under the arm. A central front closure with small loop and button holes is edged with blue embroidery that extends to the bottom of the garment. Two pocket flaps with the same blue embroidery are positioned at lower front. The fabric appears slightly discolored and stained.
