Kris

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Kris sword has a long, thin blade with a slight curve and a pointed tip. The blade appears to have a dark patina. A crossguard with a straight quillon extends from the hilt. The grip is wrapped in dark brown cord. A metal ferrule at the base of the blade features a yellow and black wrapped pommel on top. A small metal ring with tassel hangs from the crossguard. The background of the image is a plain gray color.
