Dagger (Bichuwa)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Dagger (Bichuwa) has a long curved blade with a pointed tip. The blade is wide and flat, with three raised lines running along its length. It tapers to the point and appears to be made of silver or a silver-colored metal. The handle is on top and to the left of the blade. It consists of a metal grip with a decorative animal head on the top. The grip is attached to a curved guard which separates it from the blade. The guard features decorative etchings around its base. The background is a plain light color.
