Dagger (Bichuwa)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Dagger (Bichuwa). The dagger has a bronze handle with a top that features an ornate design, resembling a vase or urn with two handles on either side and a decorative finial on top. The handle narrows and has a face below the ornate top. The blade is long, thin, straight, and pointed with multiple vertical ridges running along its length, giving it a ribbed appearance. The blade is darker than the handle and appears to have a weathered or aged patina. The overall object is presented against a light gray background.
