Pair of Rowel Spurs

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two bronze-colored spurs with a green patina, oriented horizontally, with the top one positioned slightly above and behind the bottom one. Both spurs have a long, curved neck with a rounded end and a star-shaped rowel at one end. The rowel on each spur has six points. A small decorative element, resembling a flower or a bud, adorns the base of the rowel on both spurs, and another similar element is located near the other end. The spurs are set against a plain gray background.
