Right Thigh and Knee Defense (Cuisse and Poleyn) for the Armor of Sir John Scudamore (1541 or 1542–1623)
Metal leg armor piece, elongated and curved to fit around a thigh, made of silver-colored metal with horizontal and vertical bands. Horizontal bands are thin and feature decorative rivets. Vertical bands intersect with horizontal ones, forming a grid-like pattern and are etched with a curvilinear design. Bands have a darker patina than the rest of the piece, particularly along edges and around rivets. Top has a pointed protrusion. A hinge and strap are visible on the left side. Background is plain and light-colored.
