Surcoat (Jinbaori)
The Surcoat (Jinbaori) is a sleeveless, gold-colored garment with a high, pointed collar. The garment is made of fabric with an intricate floral pattern. A large, circular design featuring a cross is positioned on the upper center of the garment. A decorative band with tassels hangs below the circular design. The garment has a curved bottom edge and appears to be made of a shiny material, possibly silk or brocade.
