The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Rectangular box with a flat lid and straight sides. The box is primarily black with a shiny finish. The lid and front have a design made of mother-of-pearl inlays. The design on the lid features four floral motifs separated by four circles. The front design consists of two symmetrical floral patterns enclosed in circles, separated by a rectangle with a border and filled with dots along the top and bottom edges. Below the floral patterns are cloud and wave motifs. The box is set against a gray gradient background, transitioning from black at the top to white at the bottom.
