Urn or Jar

The image shows "Urn or Jar" by Bernard Leach. The jar has a bulbous body with a narrow opening at the top. The body of the jar is wider at the middle than both the base and the opening. The base of the jar is slightly flared. The jar is glazed in brown with streaks running vertically down the body and some dark drips of glaze on the lower half. A tan-colored unglazed ring is around the top. The background is gray with a shadow cast by the jar to the right.
