Portrait of a man in a dynamic pose, titled Ushioda Masanojo Takano, created by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. The man wears a black and white outfit with red diamond patterns on the sleeves. The outfit has a white sash across the chest with black Japanese writing on it. He has a blue headband and a sword with a blue handle and red and gold guard at his side. His right hand is extended outward, palm facing forward. His left hand is raised above his head, holding a red oval object with a blue border and black Japanese writing. There are several vertical banners with Japanese writing in the image. The background is gray with some darker gray shading.
