Netsuke of Pleasure Boat (Takarabune)
The sculpture depicts a pleasure boat with a dragon or fish-like figure on top. The boat has a rounded hull with a curved pattern on the side and a flat bottom. Inside the boat are four human figures; one at the very front, one in the middle with hands raised, and two more towards the back. A canopy-type structure covers the back half of the boat. The figure at the front of the boat appears to be wearing a head covering and has their hands near their face. The figure with raised hands is wearing a head covering and appears to have a beard. The two figures at the back are difficult to discern. The boat and figures are made of a light-colored material, possibly ivory or wood. The background of the image is gray.
