Sperada Headdress
The Sperada Headdress by The Metropolitan Museum of Art is a semicircular object with a fan-like shape. The object has a row of small, round, metal pieces around the edge. Inside the semicircle are numerous thin, pointed metal pieces that radiate from the center. These metal pieces have a bronze color with darker patina at the base. In the center of the semicircle is a bundle of dried plant material wrapped in a pinkish-brown cloth. On either side of the center, two oval-shaped metal pieces are attached. Four long, thin metal pieces with decorative ends extend from the bottom of the semicircle. The background of the image is off-white.
