Earrings

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Gold earrings. Earrings are gold-colored metal with a triangular piece at top. The triangular piece is attached to a ring from which hangs a half-circle shaped piece. The half-circle is decorated with filigree and has five pearls across the bottom. There are two extensions on either side of the half-circle bottom, one with four pearls and gold beads, the other with gold beads only. The extensions are composed of loops of gold wire. There are white strings threaded through the top of the earrings. The earrings have a clip-on fastener. The background is a plain light gray surface.
