Earrings

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two earrings by artist unknown, titled "Earrings". The earrings are made of metal and have a hoop shape at the top. The hoops are adorned with small metal balls and have a purple thread tied around them. A small rectangular tag is attached to each hoop, one with red writing on it. The earrings have a large ornate pendant hanging from the bottom of the hoop. The pendants are teardrop shaped with a filigree design. The pendants have a smaller teardrop shape at the top and a larger rounded bottom. The entire piece appears to be made of metal with a gold-colored finish, but one earring appears to have darker discoloration with the other having a more golden sheen. The background of the image is white.
