Bullfights: A Picador is Unhorsed and Falls Under the Bull

Francisco de Goya

Cleveland Museum of Art

Black and white image of a bullfight scene. A bull with a white patch on its side faces right, its head lowered and two horns pointed at a man on the ground. The man wears a hat and holds a lance. He is on the ground, partially under the bull. A man on a white horse wearing a hat and holding a lance appears to be falling to the right, off the horse. The man on the horse has one leg caught in a stirrup. The background includes a low wall and stands with spectators. The image is a print on paper with a thin black border around the image and a thicker white border around that. A small number "26" is in the top right corner.
