Thomas Lynde

Cleveland Museum of Art

The Covered Sugar Bowl by Thomas Lynde is a silver bowl with a lid. The bowl is positioned on a short, wide base with stacked horizontal grooves encircling it. The base leads to a bulbous body with horizontal grooves. A slightly narrower rim with a horizontal groove encircles the top. The lid is domed and features a short, narrow neck with a flared top. The background is dark gray and transitions to black at the top. A light source casts a shadow to the right of the bowl.
