Covered bowl

David Haring

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Covered bowl by David Haring. The bowl is made of terracotta-colored ceramic. The bowl has a wide, rounded body and a lid with a small finial on top. The bowl and lid are decorated with a pattern of intersecting lines and arcs, creating a lattice-like design. Two small handles are on either side of the bowl. The background is a gradient from light gray to dark gray. The bowl casts a shadow on the surface below it.
