"Somers Medal"

Round, brown medal with raised edges. The top edge of the medal has the words "SOMERS HAVIS AMERICANA" in raised letters. The center of the medal features a raised image of a ship at sea with three masts and a row of cannons on the side. The ship appears to be sailing to the right. The bottom of the medal has the words "ANTE VERA CRUZ DEC 10th 1846" in raised letters. The background of the image is light gray with a shadow cast by the medal.
