Partisan

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a close-up of a dagger called "Partisan" by an unknown artist. The dagger has a long, narrow blade with a pointed tip. The blade is engraved with a figure of a man in armor holding a sword and shield. Above the figure, the words "Iam Gall" are written in cursive. The hilt has a distinctive curved guard with a wing-like design on either side. The guard features etchings that resemble wings. The handle appears to be made of metal and has a decorative band near the base of the blade. The background of the image is a plain gray color.
