Saber

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The saber has a curved, single-edged blade with a pointed tip. The blade is dark gray with gold inlays. The grip is made of dark wood and has a distinctive curved shape. A crossguard with two quillons is present, each quillon having a small spherical end.
