Morion-Cabasset

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Silver morion helmet with pointed top, sloping sides and flared brim. The helmet features a decorative etched design on both sides, with a more intricate pattern on the right side. The etched designs include lines, shapes and floral motifs. There are eight small gold rivets around the edge of the brim. The interior of the helmet is lined with brown leather or fabric. The helmet is displayed on a stand, angled slightly to the right. The background is a plain grey color. The morion was made by an unknown artist and is titled "Morion-Cabasset".
