Smallsword

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Smallsword by an unknown artist features a handle wrapped in cord, made of dark-colored metal with a decorative knob at the top. The handle is long and thin, covered in cord, and sits on a decorative base with a short crossguard featuring a quillon with a downward curve on each side. A curved handle extends from the right side of the crossguard to form a grip. The background is a plain light gray color.
