The Petticoat by artist unknown. The image shows a cream-colored, full-length skirt made of lightweight fabric. The skirt has a gathered waistline and falls in soft folds to the floor. There are decorative strips of fabric with horizontal slits near the top and intricate cutwork patterns near the bottom. The bottom edge of the skirt is scalloped.
