Breeches

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Black pants titled "Breeches" by an unknown artist. The pants are made of a dark fabric, likely cotton or a cotton blend. They have a straight leg and a flat front. There are belt loops around the waist. A zipper and button closure is at the top. Two back pockets are visible. The pants have a slight crease down the center and are slightly wrinkled. They are displayed on a cream-colored hanger with metal grommets, against a plain white background. The pant leg on the right has four button holes at the bottom.
