The back side depicts a building with columns and arches, surrounded by flags and foliage. The outer edge of the back side also displays text in a foreign language. The background of the image is gray, with shadows underneath each medal. The medal commemorates the Exhibition of Textiles, Berlin, 1844, and is the work of artist Emil Schilling.
