Cleveland Museum of Art

Medallion by Charles-Theodore Perron. Two bronze-colored medallions are shown side by side. The left medallion shows three people in relief with curved tops to their heads. The people appear in a line from left to right: a girl, a woman, a boy; the girl wears a dress and holds the woman's right hand with her right hand; the woman wears a dress and a head covering, holds a curved object in her left hand; the boy wears a hat and holds the woman's left hand with his right hand. The words "Sous le meme Drapeau" arc around the top edge. The right medallion shows a shield divided into four sections with lines; the top left and bottom right sections have diagonal lines; the top right and bottom left sections have horizontal lines; the shield is surrounded by curved lines, swirls, and two olive branches; the words "Liberte Justice" arc around the top edge. The background fades from dark at the top to light at the bottom. Shadows appear below each medallion.
