The image depicts a medieval-style illustration of a court of heaven. The scene is framed by a large circle and a square border. Inside the circle, the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ are seated on a throne at the top, surrounded by angels. Mary wears a white dress with gold accents and a gold halo. Jesus wears a blue robe with gold accents and a gold halo. The throne is flanked by saints on either side. The Virgin Mary and Jesus are positioned above a group of three women and three men dressed in white with haloes. Behind the circle, the square border features a gold background with an orange and blue design. The border is adorned with blue and green leaves and flowers. The image is rendered in a style characteristic of illuminated manuscripts. The artwork is titled "Initial G[audeamus omnes] from a Gradual: The Court of Heaven" and was created by Don Silvestro dei Gherarducci.
