He wears a blue and gold robe and holds a book in his left hand and an object in his right. Christ sits within a gold oval against a blue, gold and white starburst background. The lower half of the initial contains King David and a prophet; King David points to his head and the prophet points to his mouth. Both men are surrounded by gold haloes. The initial sits on a blue ground with green foliage against a white and gold border. The border has gold dots around the edge of the page. The artist's work includes ornate gold accents and detailed depictions of figures. The artist's work relates to the title and artist, 'Historiated Initial (A) Excised from a Gradual: Christ in Majesty with King David and Prophets'.
