The woman beside him wears a blue tunic and a blue head covering with a tan undergarment. The baby wears a red tunic and is held by the woman. The man on the far right wears an orange cape. The background of the square contains swirling white designs on blue. The scene appears to be an adoration of the Magi. The artwork is titled "Historiated Initial (E) Excised from a Gradual: Adoration of the Magi".
