The artwork, titled "Diptych with the Passion of Christ", presents a series of four scenes from the Passion of Christ divided into two panels. The top left panel depicts Christ being flogged by three men; one man is holding a post to which Christ is tied, another man is holding a rod with a feather on the end, and a third man is striking Christ with a rod. The top right panel depicts Christ being crowned with thorns by two men; one man is holding a rod with a hook on the end and another man with a long stick. The bottom left panel shows Christ before Caiaphas with two men on either side of him; one man on the right is wearing armor. The bottom right panel depicts Christ praying in the garden accompanied by two apostles; one apostle is sitting and resting his head on his hand and another apostle is kneeling with his hands on his face. The background of each panel features a gold color and the entire artwork is framed in red and gold.
