Master of Otto van Moerdrecht

Cleveland Museum of Art

Illuminated manuscript page with a Crucifixion scene. The scene depicts three crucified figures on a hill; the central figure has a halo and is flanked by two other figures. Below, a group of women in robes with halos are to the left, and a group of men on horseback are to the right. The border has gold, blue and red details, with flying angels. The border is ornate with gold accents and geometric patterns. The color palette includes shades of blue, red, gold, and brown. The style appears medieval. The composition is framed within a decorative gold and blue border.
