Curved Sword and Matching Scabbard Mounts
Curved sword and matching scabbard mounts by The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The sword has a long, curved silver blade with a darker patina and scattered lighter spots. The blade's edge is sharp and smooth. The hilt is dark with gold accents. The pommel and guard have gold decorative elements. The guard consists of two quillons, one on either side of the blade. The scabbard mounts are gold-colored and have a patterned design. One mount is shaped like a leaf or a hook, and the other is positioned to the right and above it. The background is light gray. The sword's handle points up, and the tip points down and to the left.
