Guisarme

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Guisarme by artist is a medieval-style weapon with a long, pointed metal head. The head is roughly 16 inches long and 4 inches wide, with a triangular shape and a sharp point at the tip. The head has a flat, broad base with two curved projections on either side near the base. Two additional curved projections are on the shaft side of the head, one near the base and another about halfway up. The metal is white with visible wear and tear, showing small spots of discoloration. The handle is partially visible, appearing to be wrapped in black material. The background of the image is a plain light gray color.
