Partisan

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a partisan by artist unknown titled "Partisan". The partisan has a long, narrow white metal blade with a tapered point. The blade has small dark marks scattered on its surface. A wide, flat crossguard extends on either side of the blade near the base. The crossguard curves outward and then downward. Two circular holes are present on either side of the blade, behind the crossguard. The base of the blade is attached to a short silver metal section, which is connected to a black handle. The handle is mostly cropped out of the image. The background is a plain light-gray color.
