Guisarme

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Guisarme by an unknown artist is a medieval weapon with a long, slender metal blade. The blade is pointed at the tip and features a sharp, curved hook on one side near the base. A smaller projection extends from the opposite side of the blade. The handle appears to be made of wood or another material with a darker color and visible texture, partially covered in a metallic material. The handle has a crossguard with two short, pointed extensions on either side. The background of the image is a plain gray color.
