The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Guisarme by Medieval Arms and Armour. The weapon has a long metal shaft with a white or silver-colored blade attached. The blade is composed of a pointed spear-like tip above a curved downward-facing hook, and a short spike that juts out perpendicular on the lower left side. Two metal quillons protrude on either side of the base of the blade. The bottom portion of the handle is black. The top portion of the handle, below the blade, is wrapped with gold-colored cord, and the metal base of the handle is silver. The background is gray.
