Shield (<i>Rotella</i> or <i>Brocchiere</i>) from an Armor Garniture of the Völs-Colonna Family
Round metal shield with a silver-gray color. The shield is divided into five sections by lines that meet at the center. The center section is vertical and the other four radiate out from it, separated by slightly curved lines. The shield has a decorative etched border around the edge. There are small rivets around the perimeter. The shield has etched designs on it: four rounded square shapes with curvilinear designs inside, one in each section; and curvilinear etchings in the sections and border. The background of the image is off-white.
