Hat Stand (One of a Pair)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two black stands with rounded bases and middle sections that are narrower with stacked rings support large metal spheres. The bases have rounded scalloped edges and are shaped like a flower. The middle sections of the stands are shaped like stacked spheres with decreasing diameters. The top portion of the stands are thin cylinders with rounded tops. The spheres are covered with an engraved floral filigree design in a curved pattern.
