Case (Inrō) with Design of Maple Leaves beside Inscriptions

Cylindrical case made of dark brown wood with a glossy finish, divided into four horizontal sections. Two large maple leaves in a lighter shade of brown are depicted on the case, one on the bottom left section and another on the top right section. The leaves have several pointed lobes. There are three lines of gold inscriptions on the left case and two on the right. The inscriptions are written vertically. The background of the image is plain and light-colored. The style and design suggest a traditional Japanese inrō.
