Cylindrical case with rounded edges and flat top and bottom, made of lacquer, with a reddish-brown color. The obverse side has a painted design in gold, black, and white, depicting a man wearing a black hat and another man in a robe; they appear to be in motion. The reverse side is plain with a reddish-brown color and a small, black, protruding clasp at the bottom. The top has a black cord handle. The base appears to have a white material, possibly a type of resin or ivory.
