Bronze-colored medal with a raised image of a soldier in a helmet and uniform, holding a rifle with the butt on the ground. The soldier is kneeling on one knee, right leg bent at a 90-degree angle. His right arm is outstretched, holding the rifle by the barrel. His right hand is palm up. A bag hangs from his belt on the right. The medal's surface reads "AU MARECHAL PETAIN" at the top. On the left side, it reads "ON LES AURA AVRIL 1916". On the right side, it reads "ON LES A NOVEMBRE 1918". The bottom has raised images of people and text that is difficult to read. The background is gray with a shadow underneath the medal.
